A Skarbek effect case study

Skarbek helped a Japanese Pharmaceutical company transform its commercial function from a region-led organisation to a matrix model involving the creation of global service delivery teams. In the space of a few days, Skarbek mobilised a highly-experienced Project Manager to establish a project structure and lead the project to a key go-live milestone for the global SVP business Sponsors.

The needs
  • The objective was to create a new organisation with seven global capability areas involving 240 people transitioning to the new organisation
  • The key challenge was to change the organisation structure and build new capabilities, whilst still delivering existing excellent service
  • The communication and engagement plan was highly complex, including co-ordination and delivery of engagement with trades unions and works councils in multiple countries

  • Coaching for PMO assistant to enable her to transition into PM role for final three month phase of project via Skarbek ‘DNA-transfer’ proprietary capability building tools
  • The project was designed, led to a successful “Go Live”, and handed-over successfully
