Strengths and Career Achievements

Educated at Cambridge University, Sylvie has worked both in law firms and as in-house counsel. Sylvie was a law firm partner for some 17 years, the first four of which were as a partner within an international, multidisciplinary law and professional services organisation. The last 13 of these, she co-led the global remuneration and equity incentives practice at a major global law firm based in the City of London. There she helped transform the practice, meeting changing client needs for a multi disciplinary approach in this area.

Sylvie has experience advising boards on strategic issues, such as executive remuneration structures and the shareholder communication of these issues. She has also project managed large, global assignments, including in the context of transformational deals. Her work has required her to see and communicate the bigger picture while maintaining an eye for detail; to work as part of a broader team, including both colleagues and clients while managing and developing members of her own team.
