Skarbek Summer Party
Under the blue skies of a balmy June evening in the elegant surroundings of The Wallace Collection courtyard Skarbek Associates welcomed business leaders from the worlds of diplomacy, law, life-science, FMCG, military and banking to their annual summer event.
Guests were welcomed first by Skarbek’s CEO Paul Heugh, and then by their recently appointed Chairman Sir David Wright who opened with anecdotal reflections upon his own diplomatic career before giving a brief overview of new additions to the Skarbek team, and of the companies’ ambitions and advanced capabilities for the year ahead:

In this time Skarbek has undertaken work in Strategy Alignment, Transformational Change, Programmes and Projects, Capability Building and M&A integration; providing programme and project managers in a ‘direct action’ parachuting them into the clients’ teams to take on and manage large programme or project assignments.
Looking to the future Skarbek has expanded its team and moved to smart new offices at 5 Chancery Lane. The London team that Skarbek now offers includes: John Hall – running the Life Sciences business, a former soldier, organisational psychologist and programme manager; Charlie Antelme – as Managing Partner, another soldier, businessman and leadership and security expert, and Danielle Dunfield Prayero – a banker and business leader with a strong track record in Asia. Skarbek also welcomes to the board Jill Ridley Smith, a business mentor who also sits on a number of boards including the UK Government’s Digital catapult.
Following Sir David’s warm welcome guests were regaled with the at times scandalous revelations that run through the history of The Wallace Collection from the 1st Marquess of Hertford through to Lady Wallace who bequeathed Hertford House and its collection to the nation upon her death.
Full advantage was then taken of the beautiful and fascinating location with a guided private viewing of the armouries and front galleries which were open to all guests. The tour of the armouries revealed it to be an often underappreciated highlight of the collection and one of the finest showcases of “masculine frippery and bling” in all of Europe.
