Diversity, Cross-functional Challenges and Opportunities

In our recent webinar with LEAD Network Europe, our experienced panel discussed the key issues facing supply chain roles today, from working across cultural, physical and cross-functional barriers; tackling complex, ever-changing operating models and ensuring clear messaging and important themes are effectively cascading throughout the organisation.

Our team highlighted the importance of having an ‘independent hotline’ for execution of projects to ensure teams are fully aligned, removed from silo thinking and avoiding disengagement of the process, which can cause wastage, rework and unnecessary cost. The team offered their insights on the diversity issues facing these roles today, as well as how to create clarity around a project, through the use of some highly effective project management techniques, achieving that all important shared consciousness and how to lead without direct authority.
