Strengths and Career Achievements

James Olsen was previously Vice President, Head of Transformation at Haleon where he led a senior internal responsible for accelerating value and confidence in the delivery of the organisation’s portfolio of activities, including Digital and Tech, Supply Chain and Sustainability initiatives. This also included leading the Separation and Demerger work required to stand up the new Haleon business as part of its carveout from GlaxoSmithKline. The Haleon listing on the London Stock Exchange was the largest in Europe in the last decade.

Previously, James has held leadership positions on major complex programmes that included operationalising JVs with other global pharmaceutical companies such as Novartis and Pfizer and other substantial transformative M&A deals, as well as designing and embedding new Business Operating Models. With experience leading diverse matrix teams and a deep understanding of end-to-end enterprise operations in R&D, Commercial and other key functions, James can bring a problem-solving mindset and strong leadership to ensure the implementation of business strategy from ideation to delivery.

James holds an Executive MBA from Bayes Business School and a BA Hons in Politics and International Relations.
