Phil’s international experience spans the Middle East, Africa, Europe and North America, where he has delivered capability building projects for defence, health and social care and private sector clients. He has considerable UK public sector experience and has led capability development programmes in two UK Departments of State. Phil has considerable leadership experience across Skarbek services focussed on transformation and change, capability building, portfolio, programme and project management, as well as the management of risk and resilience, with deep insights drawn from crisis management and incident response in the military and high-risk industries.

Strengths and Career Achievements

Phil Gadie joined Skarbek Associates as a Principal Consultant at its inception, initially focussed on supporting the delivery of project, programme and portfolio and of risk management offerings. His diverse experience now includes capability building for global consumer healthcare brands, risk and emergency management in the nuclear industry and NHS, capability building for the UK Home Office and the Department of Health and Social Care, where he also led a major transformation and change programme for one of the seven public health regions.

Before his business career Phil served as a Royal Marines officer, rising to senior leadership before leaving to start a family and develop a second career.

He holds Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees; is an alumni of the prestigious UK Defence Academy’s Advanced Command and Staff Course and Cambridge University’s Judge Business School; is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and holds their Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership and Level 5 Award in Management Coaching and Mentoring. He holds Office of Government and Commerce practitioner qualifications in Management of Risk® and PRINCE 2TM and the not-for-profit Agile Business Consortium Agile PM® practitioner qualifications.
